Welcome to Choice Bodyworks. At Choice Body Works we specialize in medical massage, that has been prescribed by a physician. All of Choice Body Works programs are created specifically for the individual and are focused to address a specific medical condition. As with any type of bodywork, medical massage should never be undertaken without consulting a doctor, to ensure that massage is not contraindicated and to confirm the diagnosis, ensuring that massage really is the most appropriate treatment for your issue.

Medical massage may also be offered as a complement to a psychotherapeutic program.
Depending on your condition and the treatment prescribed, you may have one or more massage sessions which are geared towards a specific outcome. For example, to increase your range of motion, or allow full extension of an extremity. When the specific outcome is achieved you will no longer be expected to continue your prescribed sessions. In other words, you come until your better.
The massage therapist can utilize a variety of massage techniques in medical massage, customizing the treatment towards you in order to promote a beneficial outcome. Medical massage may also be accompanied with advice about regular stretching and other work which can be done at home to address the condition and speed your recovery.
What is the difference between medical massage and wellness massage?
Medical Massage is an outcome-based, physician-directed, and scientifically grounded healing modality. As with physical therapy sessions, medical massage sessions are prescribed by a physician for specific issues and are limited to a physician-designated course of treatment, and can be compensated through insurance. Please note that we do offer therapeutic massage that is also outcome based, as described above but that is not physician-directed and will not require a prescription.
We also offer the more traditional wellness massage, including Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Trigger Point as well as several spa treatments to address dry skin, Acne, and youth restoration.
"The next major advance in the health of the American people will be determined by what the individual is willing to do for himself."
